Unions have decided to strike and demonstrate due to the stalemate by employers’ associations. In a statement on March 18th, Slc-Cgil, Fistel-Cisl, Uilcom-Uil, and Fials-Cisal expressed concern over the lack of renewal of the National Collective Labour Contract (CCNL) for employees of Symphonic Lyric Foundations. This is due to a lack of certainty over financial allocations for contract renewal, a lack of dialogue with umbrella organizations, and a failure to exempt the sector from the restrictions imposed by the turnover law.
In response to the above situation, the National Coordination of Unions has decided to start a mobilization process, which includes picketing in front of the prefectures of all cities that host Symphonic and Lyric Foundations, a national demonstration in Rome, and the proclamation of strikes and further forms of union agitation.
