Last week, an agreement was proposed for the renewal of the regional supplementary labour contract (CIRL) for Veneto’s hydraulic-forestry system workers for the period 2024-2027. This was signed at the offices of the Veneto Region. The sector employs about 600 workers, which includes both laborers and office staff.
The economic component of the agreement involves an increase of the Regional Supplementary Wage by 40 euros, which is a 15.6% increase. This new wage will begin at the level of qualified laborers but will eventually be adjusted for every professional level within the sector.
To economically appreciate the advanced expertise demonstrated by workers in this sector, the professionalism allowance will be raised from the current 35 euros to 70 euros.
Although the labor unions have expressed their satisfaction with the agreement, they additionally reported the signing of the Unified Contract Text, which results from years of trade union work. The agreement’s final decision now rests with the workers. Both male and female employees will express their opinion about the agreement during workplace meetings.
