In a move set to benefit employees within the leather goods manufacturing sector, multiple Italian unions and employer associations have reached an agreement regarding an increase in the industry’s contractual minimum wage. This accord was established between representatives from Assopellettieri, Confindustria Moda, Filctem, Cgil, Femca, Uiltec, and Uil and it was signed on the 22nd of December, 2023.
From the 1st of December, 2024, the new minimum wage bands, based on the employee’s level, will come into effect. These levels and their corresponding wages are as follows:
– Level 6: 2,336.18 Euros
– Level 5: 2,115.83 Euros
– Level 4s: 1,982.40 Euros
– Level 4: 1,936.98 Euros
– Level 3: 1,851.70 Euros
– Level 2: 1,757.29 Euros
This increase in minimal salaries is expected to positively impact employees within the leather manufacturing industry.
