Fondo Fasi: Upcoming Changes for 2025

From January 1, 2025, the Fondo Fasi announced the implementation of measures aimed at improving access to medical services to better support its members, specifically updating the Dental Nomenclature and the Nomenclature of Medicine and Surgery.

In the realm of Dentistry, changes have been planned to the reimbursement rates for 27 different types of dental treatments for adults. There is an estimated average increase of 36% across various areas which include oral surgery, fixed and removable prosthetics, endodontics, and periodontics. As for pediatric dental services, fees for 15 procedures will see a substantial average increase of 68% in sectors such as oral surgery, conservative treatment, endodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, and fixed prosthesis. Compensation for oral hygiene will also rise from 20.00 euros to 50.00 euros.

Changes in the Nomenclature of Medicine and Surgery include an increase in the reimbursement percentage for the materials used in the operating room and in the hospital wards during admissions (whether overnight or day), from 60% to 80% by 2025. This aligns it with the already agreed upon percentage for Medicines. Other changes include a 67% increase in the reimbursement rate on dermatological visits with digital dermoscopy, regardless of the equipment – reimbursing from 60.00 euros to 100.00 euros.

Additionally, a 20% increase in the reimbursement rate for ultrasounds of the liver, billiary ducts, bilateral salivary glands, and lymph nodes is expected. Within the Q section dedicated to Physiokinesitherapy, an increase in 18 reimbursement rates is projected, including a hike in the compensation for joint infiltrations to 45.00 euros and that of acupuncture to 25.00 euros.
