Trade Unions SLC-Cgil, Fistel-Cisl, and Uilcom-Uil have announced that they have initiated cooling-off procedures in relation to the renewal of the National Collective Labor Contract for Telecommunications (CCNL Telecomunicazioni). This was revealed in a press release dated January 13th, 2025.
During a meeting held on December 18th with Asstel, various aspects were discussed including issues linked to sickness and remote work/performance monitoring. Asstel is continuing to push for a payment model for the first three sick days that includes a payment delay. However, the biggest stumbling block is the economic part of the discussion. The corporate sector wishes to delay these discussions even further and has scheduled another meeting for February.
The Trade Unions have stressed that this is a contract that has expired two years ago, and immediate responses are required. Workers require wage increases in line with inflation and the need to recover from two years of unexpected inflation. This has negatively impacted their purchasing power. The Trade Unions hope for a swift commencement of renewal negotiations.
