CCNL Eyewear Industry: new minimums in February

The National Association of Optical Article Manufacturers (A.N.F.A.O.), assisted by Confindustria Moda and the Femca-Cisl, Filctem-Cgil and Uiltec-Uil, has signed a collective labor contract on December 4, 2023. This agreement applies primarily to companies that produce eyewear or related articles such as frames, lenses of any material, cases, galvanic, small metal parts, etc.

The contract has set new minimum wages to take effect from February 1, 2025. The following are the minimum pay levels for various job roles under the contract:

1. Specialty Management (Consolidated Area) – 2,453.19 euros
2. Specialty Management (Centrato Area) – 2,448.67 euros
3. Technical Management (Consolidated Area) – 2,323.29 euros
4. Technical Management (Centrato Area) – 2,242.18 euros
5. Qualified Consolidated Area – 2,075.54 euros
6. Qualified Centrato Area – 1,992.96 euros
7. Qualified Base Area – 1,936.25 euros
8. Operational Consolidated Area – 1,898.42 euros
9. Operational Centrato Area – 1,792.96 euros
10. Operational Base Area – 1,559.43 euros

In addition to these rates, workers holding the qualification of Quadro are entitled to an additional amount of 82.64 euros as a function allowance. With this, the ANFAO aims to maintain fair payment structures while boosting the industry’s productivity & sustainability.
