Integrative Report Signed for CCNL Metalworking Crafts:

On February 17, 2025, the Employers’ Associations and Fiom-Cgil, Fim-Cisl, and Uilm-Uil signed an addendum to the renewal agreement of the CCNL Mechanical Area, dated November 19, 2024. Following this meeting, changes were made to the rules concerning termination notices and resignations in the Metalworking and Plant Installation Area, as well as the Goldsmiths, Silversmiths, and Allied Area, effectively from March 1, 2025.

In the Mechanical and Plant Installation sector, Article 66 “Termination and Resignation Notice” states that the dismissal or resignation of a worker (not a probationer nor under the cause of Article 36 – dismissal for lack) may happen any day of the week, with a notice of 20 calendar days for 5th and 6th level employees with up to 5 years experience; 25 calendar days for 3rd and 4th level employees with up to 5 years experience; 25 calendar days for 5th and 6th level employees with more than 5 years and up to 10 years experience; 30 calendar days for 3rd and 4th level employees with more than 5 years and up to 10 years experience; 30 calendar days for 5th and 6th level employees with more than 10 years experience; and 35 calendar days for 3rd and 4th level employees with more than 10 years experience. Workers ranked at the 2nd bis level will apply the same notice terms as the 3rd and 4th levels.

Employees given notice may be given short permits to seek new employment, consistent with work demands. If the work relationship is terminated without following the notice protocol, an allowance equivalent to the salary for the notice period must be paid to the other party.

Similar parameters are set under Article 88 for the Goldsmiths, Silversmiths, and Allies sector. The notice days remain the same, with the provision of short periods for seeking new employments and obligatory allowance payments for a flagrant breach of notice protocol.

Lastly, the Social Groups agreed on a Protocol on ways of withholding the quota for participation in expenses for the contractual renewal.
