On January 29, 2025, Asils and Ugl-Scuola signed the renewal of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) for Private Schools for the period 2024-2028. The agreement applies to staff employed in schools in the field of Italian language instruction for foreigners or as a second language; Italian cultural courses; training and internship centers for teachers, and educational and linguistic university-level courses.
The contract stipulates separate dates for its legislative and economic implementations. The legislative part of the agreement will be in effect from May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2028. The economic part will be effective from February 1, 2024, to April 30, 2028.
A significant feature of the agreement is an outlined plan for pay raises to take place in four separate tranches. The dates for these salary increase are as follows: the first on February 1, 2025, the second on May 1, 2025, the third on May 1, 2026, and the fourth on May 1, 2027.
The new minimum amounts have been represented in the following table, comparing payment across different levels between the previous contract (CCNL 2021-2024) and the new contract:
In the first area, on Level 1, the CCNL 2021-2024 wage was 1,075, which then steadily increases yearly from 2025, culminating in 1,247 by 2027. Similarly, for Level 2 in the first area, the 2021 wage was 1,105 but will increase to 1,281 by 2027. For Level 3, the wage is projected to go from 1,160 in 2021 to 1,344 by 2027.
In the second area, for Level 3, the wage will increase from 1,255 in 2021 to 1,455 by 2027. Level 4 sees an increase from 1,325 in 2021 to 1,537 in 2027, while Level 5 increases from 1,375 to 1,595 within the same period.
In the third area, on Level 6, the wage, which was 1,375 in 2021 is expected to increase to 1,595 by 2027. Level 7 wages will rise from 1,485 in 2021 to 1,721 in 2027.
Additionally, the contract stipulates that for the period from May 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025, employees are entitled to a holiday pay bonus of €75.
