On 18th February, Uniontessile-Confapi and the trade unions Filctem-Cgil, Femca-Cisl, and Uiltec-Uil signed an agreement proposal for the renewal of the collective agreement for workers in the textile, clothing, fashion, footwear, leathers and furs, pens and brushes and brushs, eyewear, and toys sector of the small industry for the period 2024-2027.
The National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL) which covers 52,000 employees working in approximately 6,000 small to medium-sized companies expired on 31st March last year. The economic aspect of the agreement includes an increase in the minimum wage of €200 at the 4th level, split into three tranches: €100 from 1st January 2025, €60 from 1st January 2026, and €40 from 1st January 2027.
Furthermore, from 1st January 2025, the 1st level is expected to see an increase in the minimum payment to bring the hourly wage above €9. A one-time payment (Una Tantum) of €100 is also acknowledged, and a 0.10% increase in the contribution to the Fondapi pension fund is anticipated under the contractual welfare scheme.
For the eyewear and toys sectors, there’s also an increase in the overtime work percentages to 27% during the daytime. The proposal will be submitted and voted on in assemblies for approval.
In terms of regulatory aspects, interventions have been made on employment preservation, illness, permits, and vacation accumulation rates.
