The agreement signed on 21st March by Abi and Fabi, First-Cisl, Fisac-Cigl, Uilca and Unisin replaces the previous agreement of 25th February 2019. It emphasizes the importance of union relations and effective representation of workers through the function of union representations. The agreement will be in effect from 1st January 2025 to 31st December 2028 and primarily involves an increase in the total number of leave hours to 7 hours and 30 minutes, for each member of the signatory organizations that represent over 5% of the workers.
In addition to this, the agreement also includes the establishment of a new figure of Territorial Union Representative in production units that have up to 15 employees, to serve for a maximum of 4 years. Such representatives are permitted 8 working hours a month.
