Discussion on Metalmeccanica Cooperative’s CCNL contract renewal continues

In a statement released on March 5, Fiom-Cgil announced the results of a meeting held on March 4 regarding the renewal of the CCNL Metalmeccanica Cooperative contract, which expired last June. The meeting produced significant results, most notably the intention of the cooperative enterprises to continue discussions on the economic aspect, reviewing what Fim, Fiom and Uilm propose. The aim is to establish a minimum economic value for the duration of the contract, with the possibility of a three-year or four-year term. On this point, the trade unions propose a value higher than the current Ipca-Nei forecast, which would contribute to increasing the minimum values for the duration of the contract. Similarly, cooperative enterprises requested the provision of a guarantee mechanism different from the current one, in case the Ipca-Nei percentage reaches levels that are too high compared to the forecasts. The goal is to identify solutions that do not reduce the payments identified for the excess part. Still on the economic subject, a review of the regulation of the balancing element was requested. The discussion was adjourned until mid-March, with the introduction of an initial technical meeting and a plenary meeting scheduled for March 31.
