National Collective Bargaining Agreement for Schools: Main Demands by Trade Unions for Contract Renewal

During a meeting with the Aran, the Trade Unions presented a list of demands for the sectors of education, universities, research, and AFAM. As outlined in the press release of March 11, the main concerns raised by the unions to the Agency are salaries and the need to improve the working conditions for teachers, educators, and ATA staff.

From a salary standpoint, the demand is for the allocation of more resources, in addition to those allocated by the Budget Law, which are deemed insufficient. It is also necessary to double the fund for the improvement of education and to provide due allowances to school staff. This includes meal vouchers for all teaching and ATA staff whose working hours also extend into the afternoon.

A key issue is also the expansion of protections in the event of illness for precarious staff, with the recognition of paid permits for participation in competitions and exams. Among other things, the demand for the unique ranking of teachers and the reduction of working hours for frontal activities are also highlighted. For ATA staff, the request includes, among other things, the consolidation and implementation of the new order.
