On April 8, 2025, Unigec Confapi, Unimatica Confapi, Slc-Cgil, Fistel-Cisl, and Uilcom-Uil signed an agreement for the renewal of a collective agreement for employees in the communication, information technology, innovative services, and micro-enterprise sectors. The contract applies from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2027.
Under the agreement, changes were made to the definition of fixed-term contracts. Additional instances were identified where the contract duration could extend beyond 24 months: temporary needs not related to ordinary activities, requirements linked to temporary, significant, and unpredictable increases in ordinary activity, and others related to investments in production processes with an aim to reduce their environmental impact.
In terms of illness and non-work accident, employees with a disability certified under law number 68/99 will have their job preserved for an additional 90 days due to their increased risk of illness. During this extra period, their pay and seniority will not be affected.
The agreement also set pay increases effective from January 1 of 2025, 2026, and 2027. All employees who were employed as of January 1, 2025, will receive a lump sum amount of 100.00 euros in their June 2025 salary. This amount includes the effects on direct, indirect, and deferred pay of legal origin or resulting from the contract and is proportional to the agreed working hours for part-time workers.
The flex-benefits amount of 258.00 euros will be raised to 300.00 euros for 2025, 2026, and 2027. From February of each year, companies must make this amount available to all employees for them to use by December 31 of that same year. Companies that have already made available the 258.00 euro amount for 2025 must adjust the difference by December 31, 2025.
