The Intersectoral National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) has recently been signed, guaranteeing advantageous protections and economic conditions for tertiary sector employees, including those in commerce, distribution, services, tourism and public exercises. Endorsed by unions, the agreement emphasizes the importance of quality, innovation, employee wellbeing and competences, workplace safety, and business growth.
A significant focus of the agreement is the interconnection between the competitiveness of businesses and the wellbeing of their employees, with a central goal to prioritize worker wellbeing. Additionally, attention has been paid to crucial issues of digitalisation, artificial intelligence, and continuous training – strategic elements considered key in transitioning workers and businesses to cope with current technological and organisational changes.
The agreement also provides for an increase in remuneration levels, exceeding wage standards of other contracts within the sector.
