Trade unions Slc-Cgil and Uil-Poste issued a statement on May 7, 2025, disclosing a letter they wrote to Poste Italiane. The letter highlights the altering roles of middle management, who according to the unions, are promoting their own interests within the company, given the dual roles they hold – both as union and company representatives.
The two unions denounce the obstruction that prevents them from carrying out their union activities. They also report situations of workers being discriminated against due to their union membership. The unions urge Poste Italiane to intervene with the human resources management structures to restore normality and ensure respect for constitutional principles as soon as possible.
