Artisan Sector: Interconfedera Agreement Signed

The renewal of the Interconfederal Agreement on Health and Safety at Work (Ssl) has been recently signed by the CGIL, CISL, UIL trade unions and the employer representation associations of the artisan sector. The main goal of this agreement is to reinforce the role of the parity network in the crafts sector as a critical tool for prevention and protection of the employees in the sector. It also aims to enhance the number and activity of the trade union representatives for safety in the region.

The key objectives of the agreement include:

– Strengthening the national and territorial coordination of bilateral parity bodies to ensure greater effectiveness of actions;
– Promoting a culture of prevention, training, and business and worker support;
– Standardizing the operational methods of the network, promoting an integrated and shared approach across the entire territory;
– Emphasizing the role of the workers’ safety representatives (RLS and RLST) in the crafts system, promoting their training and increasing their number.

This initiative is significant in facilitating a safer, more efficient working environment for employees in the artisan sector, while also emphasizing their rights and representation. The agreement represents a structured, unified approach to safety and prevention, designed to be implemented across the region, bringing benefits to both entities—employers and workers.
