On July 2nd, a meeting was held between Unionmeccanica-Confapi and trade unions Fim-Cisl, Fiom-Cgil, and Uilm-Uil to resume negotiations for the renewal of the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for the Small Metalworking Industry.
Talks about the contract, which expired last December, had continued until March 17th, when they came to a halt due to employer responses that unions deemed inadequate, particularly concerning the content of the platform. Strikes and mobilizations ensued, leading to the resumption of negotiations.
Further meetings have been scheduled for July 15th, 21st, and 28th.
