On October 8th, 2025, trade union organizations Feneal-Uil, Filca-Cisl, Fillea-Cgil, and employer associations Ance, Legacoop and artisan associations signed an agreement aiming to strengthen the bilateral system of construction, prioritizing the workers in the sector and their families.
The agreement, taking effect on January 1st, 2026, and lasting experimentally for two years, includes extensions to the pre-retirement fund and introduces new social benefits, such as:
– A monthly stipend for the children of deceased construction workers, provided until the completion of their degree;
– A one-time housing contribution of 500 euros to assist with rent or mortgage payments;
– For workers suffering from severe oncological, cardiac, and autoimmune diseases, financial coverage equivalent to the provision of the Naspi for six months in a period of expectation before the expiration of the period of behavior.
For the trade unions, this agreement enhances and consolidates the experience of contractual bilateralism in construction, reaffirming the bilateral system as a stronghold of legality and regularity.
