On January 21, 2026, the trade unions Slc-Cgil, Fistel-Cisl, UIilcom-Uil, and Fials-Cisal announced through a press release an official state of agitation, denouncing the unacceptable lack of financial resources to renew the National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL) for the sector for the three-year period 2022-2024. The purpose of the contractual renewal is to recover the purchasing power of workers, as already provided by the previous CCNL for the 2019-2021 period.
In relation to the reform of the Show Code, the unions claim that, despite repeated requests for a meeting with the Ministry of Culture, there has been no real discussion or debate. Another issue highlighted by the unions is the obstacle of turnover and the application of Law no. 207/2024, which limits new hires to 75% of the expenditure of departed personnel. According to the trade unions, this constraint weakens the operation of the already organically suffering Lyrical-Symphonic Foundations and further fuels precarious work.
The trade unions conclude by emphasizing the need for certainty and swift responses for all workers in the sector.
