On 4th February 2026, Uiltucs announced the break up of the negotiations for the renewal of the national collective labour contract for private pharmacies, with the counterpart Federfarma. The economic proposal advanced by the employer (a salary increase of 130.00 euros and a further increase of 70.00 euros only for pharmacists, excluding non-graduate employees from the increase) was found to be insufficient by the unions.
This proposal would result in a significant difference within the work environment, with vastly varying salary scales based on the role. A further 20.00 euros for the Economic Security Element has also been proposed, which is less than the value of the existing regional integrated negotiation.
As a result, Uiltucs declares the restart of the mobilization process, planning a national assembly for 17th February 2026 as well as territorial assemblies and a joint evaluation of additional strike days to be scheduled.+
