On March 9, 2026, a new meeting was held between the Fim, Fiom, Uilm and Unionmeccanica-Confapi trade unions to discuss the renewal of the sector’s collective bargaining agreement (CCNL), which expired in December 2024. Economic advances of €22.10 for 2025 and €50.00 for 2026 are already planned, but the focus of the negotiation remains the minimum wage.
Unionmeccanica pointed out a salary difference arising from the €37.00 difference on the minimum wages compared to the industry contract. The unions, in turn, are pushing for a swift and consistent subscription with other category renewals, hoping to maintain the wage guarantee clause to protect the workers’ purchasing power from inflation.
In addition to economic issues, future meetings will also address topics such as workplace safety, ongoing training, and the labor market. The next meetings are scheduled for March 24, 2026, and April 2, 2026.
