On April 15, 2026, a meeting was held between the trade union organizations Slc-Cgil, Fistel-Cisl, Uilcom-Uil and the employer associations Fieg, Asig for the renewal of the sector’s National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL). During this meeting, the unions presented concrete proposals on the classification of personnel and the current legislation regarding the management of workers, such as leaves and bonuses. They also demanded the establishment of joint commissions dedicated to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and copyright management.
However, the employer parties only responded with a list of topics to discuss, without presenting any concrete proposals of merit. The unions found this approach unacceptable towards the workers in the sector and pointed out the risk of a deadlock in the negotiations.
For the next meeting, which is scheduled for April 28, 2026, the unions expect the presentation of precise regulatory texts. During this meeting, the unions will officially put forward their economic proposal for the contractual renewal.
Finally, the unions stated that if there are no positive signals, they will consider the most appropriate actions to protect the category and unlock the renewal negotiations.
