INPS has conducted checks to verify the eligibility criteria for partial exemption from social security contributions for self-employed workers and professionals registered with various pension schemes for the year 2021. The checks included criteria such as enrollment in the pension scheme, absence of an employment contract, and ownership of a pension. Previous checks were completed in 2021, and the results were published in the individual’s pension account. Any reduction in previously granted amounts will be visible in the pension account, and the remaining contributions must be paid accordingly. Sanctions may apply to outstanding amounts.
New checks have been completed to ensure compliance with criteria such as regular contribution payments, a significant decrease in revenue in 2020 compared to 2019, an income below a certain threshold in 2019, and adherence to EU guidelines on State aid during the COVID-19 crisis. Results of these checks will also be visible in the pension account. Approved exemptions will be updated in the individual’s insurance position, while any cancellations will be directly notified to the individual. A request for review of the outcomes can be submitted through the pension account portal with the necessary supporting documentation.
