On November 25, 2024, an integrative memorandum regarding a proposed agreement from November 18, 2024, was signed by the employers’ associations CIMA Communication and Advanced Tertiary, Confartigianato Communication, as well as the workers’ union organizations Slc-Cgil, Fistel-Cisl, and Uilcom-Uil. The agreement was for the renewal of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) in the Communication area for employees of artisan companies and Small and Medium Enterprises in the Communication Area.
The memorandum also contained proposed wage tables for the period from 2024 to 2026, which covered both artisan companies and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the communication sector.
For artisan companies, the proposal outlines specific minimum wage thresholds for various levels of employees. These minimum thresholds are broken down into increments set for November 30, 2024, December 1, 2024, July 1, 2025, March 1, 2026, and November 1, 2026. The proposed minimum wages range from €1,357.71 to €2,316.86 up until November 30, 2024. These proposed minimum wages gradually increase at each time increment. The wages reach the range of €1,522.42 to €2,597.94 by November 1, 2026.
Similarly, the wage tables for SMEs also covered the same timeframe and detailing gradual increases in minimum wages. Up until November 30, 2024, the proposed minimum wages range from €1,367.60 to €2,333.72. By November 1, 2026, the proposed minimum wages would increase to range from €1,538.08 to €2,624.63.
The systematic increase in the minimum wages of the employees, both in artisan companies and SMEs in the communications sector, over the next two years is an indication of the commitment by employers and union organizations to ensure fair wages for their workers. This agreement signifies progress in the communications sector concerning wages and worker’s rights.
