On December 21, 2024, the social partners in the construction sector in the province of Frosinone, namely Ance and Fillea-Cgil, Filca-Cisl and Feneal-Uil, renewed the provincial contract. The new contract comes with several changes, such as meal and travel allowances as well as a merit-based work award, and is applicable from the date of signing for a duration of three years.
A notable change is the introduction of a daily meal allowance of €7.20, which is calculated at a rate of €0.90 for each hour of regular work. This allowance is given to both workers and employees. In addition, workers who are assigned to a site different from the one they were hired for (located over 45km away) are given a travel allowance calculated at 10% of their salary components. A transportation allowance, on the other hand, is set at €0.25 for both urban and intercity transportation.
A worker who drives other workers to a worksite located over 60km away is also awarded a driver’s allowance amounting to €10.00 per day.
The contract also reveals plans to introduce company badges for all employees by the end of June 2025. Furthermore, from 2025, entrepreneurs and employees who meet specific criteria relating to their years of insurance contributions and employment will be awarded a merit-based work award, the details of which will be further elaborated before the end of June 2025.
