Discussions have begun as of January 21st, 2025 regarding the negotiation for the renewal of the National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) for the electric sector, concerning about 55,000 workers. The main focus of these discussions revolves around increased wages and decreased work hours. These requests are part of a platform approved by trade unions in recent days.
Firstly, the unions have demanded an increase in wages – a collective increase of approximately 335 euros over three years. This demand has been proposed particularly in light of inflation trends in recent years. Secondly, the trade unions are also urging a reduction in work hours. The aim of these negotiations is to ensure better work conditions and related benefits for the workers involved in the electric sector. The next meeting is set for January 24th, with the intent to settle these negotiations as soon as possible.
