The trade unions OO.SS. Filctem-Cgil, Femca-Cisl, and Uiltec-Uil have proposed an agenda for the re-negotiation of the CCNL Chemical Industry contract, which expires on June 30, 2025. This was announced in a statement on March 10, 2025, outlining the main points of the platform. These include a pay raise, initiatives on training, health, safety, environment, reduction of working hours, welfare, and artificial intelligence.
From the retribution perspective, the unions have requested an overall increase of 305 euros for the D1 level, considering an advancement of 6 months of the contractual tranches in 2024, in order to make up for inflation in recent years. Updates are needed in contractual welfare to meet new needs. As for training and employment, greater protections have been requested for those with atypical contracts, and a commitment to good employment. Although artificial intelligence can create more opportunities, the unions want greater guarantees for workers, especially for ethical and privacy issues that could arise. They also requested the reduction of working hours.
