Starting from April 15, 2025, individuals will have 270 days to utilize a contribution provided for psychotherapy sessions, according to an INPS announcement (message April 9, 2025, no. 1217). This is a follow-up to message no. 811/2025, in which INPS discussed the “Psychology Bonus”.
From April 15, 2025, INPS will start going through the rankings of applications submitted for 2024, in reference to the allocation of funds for 2023. However, for the Autonomous Province of Trento, there will be no such procedure as the Province has communicated its decision not to finance the subsequent tranches of the 2023 Fund and any future funds allocated by itself.
INPS acknowledges the benefit to those entitled based on the orders of the rankings drawn up by Region/Autonomous Province and beyond the additional allocated resources (refer to Table 1 attached to the D.I. December 17, 2024, annex no. 1 to the comment message). This also includes any unused regional and provincial resources by April 7, 2025, which is the expiry date of the unique code assigned to the first recipients of the contribution.
New beneficiaries can view the approval of their application, the granted amount, and the unique code assigned by accessing the online service “Contribution psychotherapy sessions”, available on the official INPS website.
The Psychology Bonus has been recognized for a maximum amount of 50 euros for each psychotherapy session and is paid up to the maximum amount assigned, parameterized to the values of the Indicator of the equivalent economic situation (ISEE).
The beneficiary has 270 days, starting from April 15, 2025, to take advantage of the contribution to support the psychotherapy sessions; after this term, the unique code assigned is automatically invalidated. Finally, INPS reminds that the reimbursement of sessions carried out by psychotherapists can only occur following the actual transfer of economic resources by the Regions/Autonomous Provinces to INPS.
