On April 15, 2025, social parties gathered for the negotiation of the renewal of the sectoral National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL). The main focus of the meeting was the proposed wage increase of 120.00 euros over three years. However, Federfarma decided to maintain the increase at the same amount, a move that the trade unions deem unacceptable. Their objections stem from the principle of regaining purchasing power that has been lost over the years due to delays in the previous renewal and a recorded inflation increase from 2021 to 2022, which followed the signing of the previous contract. As a result, an assembly of the union delegations and structures has been called for May 7, 2025, to comprehensively assess the contractual discussion and decide on the next steps to push the employer side to modify its economic proposal.
