Accordo nel settore turistico per la formazione e l’assimilazione lavorativa dei rifugiati

The Government and social partners in the tourism sector have signed a triennal protocol on June 19, 2025, aimed at guiding refugees towards independence. The protocol was signed on the eve of World Refugee Day, in response to the need for manpower expressed by companies. Both at national and local level, the involved ministries (Labor and Social Policies, Interior, Tourism) and EBNT (National Bilateral Tourism Agency) are coordinating to identify the beneficiaries of the agreement, including people granted international or temporary protection, and other categories of foreign citizens in a vulnerable situation with permits that allow work.

The territorial network of EBNT will provide dedicated training courses and other active labor policy measures. It will also promote experiences in associated companies for those who complete them, with the aim of subsequent employment. In this way, a model already tested in the construction sector is being proposed, thanks to a similar protocol.

This collaboration between the Government and social partners aligns with the main international, community and national guidance documents, as well as the Single Text of Immigration, which provides for the active involvement of workers’ and employers’ organizations in migration and integration policies.
