On July 4, 2025, the Italian Metalworkers’ Federation (Fim-Cisl) has informed all workers in the metalworking industry that Confimi Industria, the association representing entrepreneurs in the mechanical industry, has confirmed that they can proceed with the increase in wage minimums starting June 1, 2025. The adjustments will not be included in the June pay because another union organization that signed the agreement has yet to give approval.
It’s important to note that the employer’s intention is to apply the adjustment from the salary of July 2025, setting the starting date as June 2025, to avoid loss for the employees in the sector. Consequently, the new monthly minimum wages have been calculated and will increase by 1.3%.
The new monthly minimums for various categories from June 1, 2025, are:
– Category 9: €3,033.00
– Category 8: €2,728.13
– Category 7: €2,508.26
– Category 6: €2,337.43
– Category 5: €2,179.32
– Category 4: €2,034.68
– Category 3: €1,949.54
– Category 2: €1,758.03
Increases will also apply to other aspects of the employee compensation such as values of the “Socrates” contract minimums and the amounts of the Shift-Duty and Availability allowances, which will also be increased by 1.3%. This means employees can expect a slight increase in their overall income.
