On 7th July, the trade unions SLC-Cgil, Fistel-Cisl, and Uilcom-Uil met with the delegation of Confindustria radio-tv to discuss the renewal of the collective labor agreement (CLA) for private television broadcasters.
During the meeting, the parties discussed various aspects including regulatory and economic issues. The unions proposed an adequate salary adjustment to counteract the effects of inflation. Both parties agreed to expedite the process of renewal, and a follow-up meeting has been scheduled for 28th July. During this meeting, the Joint Commission will work on updating the texts and regulatory requests outlined in the union platform. The work is expected to be completed by 16th September, after which attention will be focused on the economic part of the agreement.
In addition, it was decided to activate a bilateral commission on professionalism with the aim to identify new professional figures. This initiative aims to adapt these roles to technological progress and in consideration of artificial intelligence.
