On October 8, 2025, Ance, Legacoop and craft associations, together with the sector unions Feneal-Uil, Filca-Cisl and Fillea-Cgil, reached an agreement to strengthen the bi-lateral construction system. The agreement will enter into effect on January 1, 2026, and will last for an experimental period of two years.
This deal has extended the early retirement fund and introduced new social benefits such as:
1. A monthly payment for the children of construction workers who have died at work, in order to support their education until graduation.
2. A one-time grant of 500.00 euros to support rent payments or mortgage installments.
3. The opportunity for workers suffering from cancer, severe heart, and autoimmune diseases to receive a financial coverage equal to the provision of the Naspi for six months, during a waiting period before the conduct period expires.
The signatory parties believed that this agreement confirms the bi-lateral construction system as a genuine upholder of legality and regularity, capable of providing tangible support to workers. They echoed that the bi-lateral system is primarily a pact of shared responsibility between companies and workers, aimed at providing protection during the most critical moments of professional and personal life.
