The Supplementary Health Fund for Small and Medium Mechanical Enterprises has decided to renew the UniSalute Health Insurance policy, which expires on October 31, 2025. To ensure the continuity of health coverage, the new policy will cover a period of 14 months, from November 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026.
The primary changes from the previous policy include:
– An increase in the franchise borne by the patient, increasing from 15 euros to 20 euros for specialist visits, high-specialization services, and diagnostic tests distinct from blood tests.
– The elimination of spending caps as of October 31, 2025, and their distribution over the 14 months of the new policy.
– The introduction into the list of major surgeries of radical mastectomy, which entitles the patient to request a daily indemnity for major surgery.
It is further clarified that the male-female prevention packages and minor children, special dental services, and services for lenses and glasses will be provided by the Fund only once during the 14 months of the new policy’s validity. The policy changes are part of efforts to enhance comprehensive health coverage, expand available services, and control costs.
