Signing of the Cifa – Confsal supplementary agreement for the CCNL Commerce

The partnered parties have submitted a new, coordinated text, which fully replaces the previous National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL). The agreement, signed by Cifa and Confsal on September 23, updates some contractual provisions for Trade, Service, Distribution, Public Exercises and Tourism industries.

In regards to the probation period, the terms of service duration have been adjusted:
– At the first level, it is 45 actual working days;
– At the second and third levels, it is 60 actual working days;
– From the fourth to the fifth level, it’s also 60 actual working days;
– At the sixth level, it is 90 days;
– For subsequent levels, it is 180 days.

Concerning overtime, if the work schedule is changed, a 31.5% (30% + 1.5%) increase of the global hourly wage is provided. However, for extra work duties, the raise has been increased from 15% to 30% of the pay.

The agreement also addresses the period of conduct. It alters the duration and introduces the right to retain one’s job position for a duration of 12 months within the last triennium.

In the case of absence due to illness, the economic treatment will be updated as follows:
– 100% pay for the first three days;
– 75% pay for the fourth to the twentieth day;
– 100% pay from the twenty-first day onwards.

The rules on termination notice have also been revised. They now depend on the length of service and the level at which an employee is working.

For those with up to five years of service, the termination notice is:
– 15 calendar days for the first level;
– 20 calendar days for the second and third levels;
– 30 calendar days from the fourth to the sixth level;
– 60 calendar days for subsequent levels.

For those with more than five and up to ten years of service, the termination notice is:
– 20 calendar days for the first level;
– 30 calendar days for the second and third levels;
– 45 calendar days from the fourth to the sixth level;
– 90 calendar days for subsequent levels.

For those with over ten years of service, the termination notice is:
– 20 calendar days for the first level;
– 45 calendar days for the second and third levels;
– 60 calendar days from the fourth to the sixth level;
– 120 calendar days for subsequent levels.
