During the latest negotiation meeting on the renewal of the CCNL 22/24 Public Health division, on 21 November, Aran proposed a monthly increase of €5.22 for the nursing specific allowance and €2.95 for the patient protection allowance – to be re-parameterised for professional areas from 1 January 2024. From 1 January 2025, the increase would be €12.28 and €9.34 respectively. Another proposal by Aran is to prevent cumulation between the emergency allowance and the one for special working conditions, ex art. 107. Regarding corporate welfare, Aran suggests a percentage constraint to be allocated to corporate welfare in company-wide integrated negotiations.
Trade unions, on the other hand, have requested to extend the possibility of progression between areas up to 31 December 2026, and review the rewrite on the compulsory 10-minute break for shifts longer than six continuous hours of care, as they feel it is a downgrade from the current contractual formulation on the right to use the canteen. On this matter, the unions find reasons for a general strike on the upcoming Friday, 29 November, aiming to demand a salary increase and a greater appreciation of healthcare professionals.
