The renewal platform has been largely approved by workers, now moving onto the negotiation table. The Fim, Fiom, and Uilm trade unions announced through a press release on November 20, 2024, the workers’ approval of the renewal platform of the CCNL Metalmeccanica Small Industry. The vote garnered 99% approval, marking participation from 47,031 workers out of the 80,891 employees involved in the establishments.
The contractual renewal will provide concrete responses, say the acronyms, on issues such as salary, reduction of working hours, professional training, health and safety, and work-life balance; all elements that will allow a crucial sector for production to be relaunched. The platform will now be sent to the employer parties of Unionmeccanica and Confapi, with the hope that the negotiation table is convened quickly.
