The renewal of the CIPL for agricultural and nursery workers in the province of Bologna was signed on 20th November by various agricultural and labour organisations, including Confagricoltura Bologna, Federazione Provinciale Coldiretti, Cia Confederazione Italiana Agricoltura and Flai-Cgil, Fai-Cisl, Uila-Uil of Bologna. This renewal takes into account the CCNL of 23 May 2022 and runs from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2027.
Among the key developments of this renewal are the inclusion of a 6% wage increase, effective from 1 December 2024, and the redefinition of contractual welfare. Interventions to support the income of “fragile” workers were planned and scheduled to set aside €200,000 from 1st January 2025 for workers’ income in favour of agricultural companies.
These funds will be used to compensate, at the expense of bilateralism, the expenses incurred by companies for medical examinations, worker training in labour safety, and the charges related to informing workers, including through multimedia contributions in languages, on the planned measures in hygiene and safety.
The renewal also includes the establishment of the Single Observatory and thecreation of the Territorial Parity Committee. This committee has an aim of ensuring equal opportunities and conditions for all agricultural and nursery workers in the province of Bologna.
In conclusion, this new labour agreement provides improved financial support and welfare for agricultural and nursery workers in Bologna. This includes a substantial wage increase and additional funding for medical and safety training provisions. The establishment of a Territorial Parity Committee also suggests a move towards achieving greater equity in the sector.
