Negotiations have begun with Aran concerning the contractual renewal for 2022-2024. The Italian trade union federation, Flc-Cgil, announced on February 24th the commencement of negotiations for the renewal of the National Collective Labour Contract (CCNL) for Education and Research for the triennium 2022-2024. The unions are dedicated to achieving significant economic improvements and better working conditions for the workers in the sector. Their proposal emphasizes the importance of eliminating rules related to “premium” or “performance” bonuses, and instead favors the universal provision of meal coupons, regardless of the working arrangement stipulated in the contract.
In addition, it is recommended that the weekly work schedule should be reduced to 35 hours. The unions also want enhancements in the implementation modalities of the provisions introduced in the 2019-2021 renewal about remote work, to make them more accessible and beneficial. While it’s considered a late renewal, the unions are heavily involved in ensuring crucial amendments are implemented to promote workers’ economic and working conditions.
