The three trade unions, Slc-Cgil, Fistel-Cisl, and Uilcom-Uil, have started the phase of renewal for the National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) for multimedia and radio-television services companies. The main topics discussed are here as follows:
Training: The unions argue for more robust training policies that can promote significant progress in the skills of workers. They believe it is necessary to create a system to ensure employees are continually improving their abilities and keeping up-to-date with the changing demands of the industry.
Contractual professionalism: The unions believe there needs to be an update to the contractual professionalism system. This would mean reassessing the skill sets required to perform various tasks and duties in the radio-television and multimedia services industries.
Agile work: A greater balance between work and life is needed, the unions suggest, and for that, they emphasize the introduction of ‘smart working’ or remote working. Smart working provides flexibility, which can help employees to successfully manage their professional responsibilities without compromising their personal lives.
Minimum wages: A comprehensive increase in line with Istat indices and interconfederal agreements for the next three years is requested by the unions. This also takes into consideration the previous two years and should not be absorbed by previous unilateral provisions. The intention is to ensure that employees receive fair compensation for their work. The unions argue that salaries need to follow a declining trend when accounting for inflation and inter-union agreements.
