In a press release dated March 13, 2025, Italian trade unions Slc-Cgil and Uil-Poste called for a nationwide strike against overtime and additional work by mail workers from March 20 to April 9 (except for April 5 in Campania). This action is in response to the negative outcome of the procedure under Article 17, Paragraph B.3 of the labour agreement dated July 23, 2024. This article relates to collective disputes and cooling-off and conciliation processes at the national level.
During the strike period, Poste Italiane employees will not have to perform work beyond their regular work schedule stipulated in their contract. The aim of the protest, according to the trade unions, is to urge Poste Italiane to resume discussions in a short time frame.
