New minimum wages have been established and will come into effect from April 1, 2025. This follows an agreement signed on January 26, 2023, by Filctem-Cgil, Femca-Cisl, and Uiltec-Uil unions along with the employer associations, the Federation of Rubber Plastic, and the General Confederation of Italian Industry. The new agreement renegotiates the employment contracts for employees in the industry and anticipates contractual increases to be in effect from April 1, 2025.
Here are the new salary amounts, as outlined in the following table:
For the Quadro level, the minimum wage is set at 2,423.68.
For level A, the minimum wage is 2,282.03.
For level B, the minimum wage figures stand at 2,152.87.
For level C, wages start from a minimum of 2,124.60.
For level D, the minimum wage is set at 2,097.90.
Level E has a minimum wage set at 2,013.23.
Level F’s minimum wage is 1,961.12.
For Level G, the minimum wage is 1,827.54.
For level H, the minimum pay rate stands at a minimum of 1,742.79.
Finally, for level I, the minimum wage is set to 1,566.80.
The wage scale starts from Level Quadro at the top, which reflects the highest wage category, down to level I, the lowest wage level. This renegotiated agreement signing is a key step towards ensuring fair compensation for members of these sectors from April 2025 onwards. It aims to provide a more equitable income distribution across the different labor categories within the industry. These unions and employer associations have worked together to finalize these new minimum wages to offer improved compensation for their employees, which is expected to have several positive effects on the workforce’s morale, motivation, and overall job satisfaction.
