The sector trade unions recently announced the cessation of negotiations for the renewal of the national work contract for Private Pharmacies due to the unwillingness of Federfarma to accept the salary adjustment proposal put forth by the trade union organizations Filcams-Cgil, Fisascat-Cisl, and Uiltucs-Uil. The negotiation affects approximately 60,000 female and male employees.
The employers’ association proposed a wage increase of approximately €120.00 over the next three years. According to the trade unions, this increase is inadequate when compared to their request, which was made in previous meetings and based on the calculation of the inflation differential recorded during the current contract’s validity period and the inflation forecast for the next three years.
During the meeting, the employers’ associations highlighted the increased professional responsibilities of pharmacists and their increasingly burdensome working hours.
For these reasons, the national federations of Filcams-Cgil, Fisascat-Cisl, and Uiltucs-Uil have decided to start mobilizing according to a framework of national and regional initiatives. This strategy will be defined in the unified coordination meeting scheduled for May 19th.
