On May 27, the trade unions Filctem-Cgil, Femca-Cisl, and Uiltec-Uil proposed a renewal platform for the National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL) Mines for the three-year period from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2028. The unions have requested a salary increase of €300 for the 5th level, to be re-parameterized on the others.
In terms of staff classification, a new approach is being considered. The idea is to create classifications aimed at promoting continuous learning, rather than basing levels solely on compensation. Continuous training becomes a significant aspect as the goal is to develop a digital learning booklet and establish a joint commission specifically responsible for training.
Negotiations at the second level and industrial relations are also important. Collaborative work with the sector’s business association on joint initiatives aimed at the realities operating within the CCNL Mines is emphasized as a priority. Another key area of focus is promoting issues concerning diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as health and safety in the workplace.
The platform is now in the hands of workers who will have to vote for it in assemblies. The unions’ renewal platform proposes action towards achieving significant compensation increases, a fresh approach to personnel classification emphasizing continued learning, better health and safety standards, and further efforts towards achieving diversity, equity, and inclusion in places of work. The platform’s enactment is subject to employee votes in future meetings.
