Following a nationwide consultation, the unitary activists of Fai, Flai, and Uila have unanimously approved the platform for the renewal of the CCNL for agricultural and nursery workers for the period 2026-2029. The platform aims to strengthen the rights and value the professionalism and skills of over one million workers.
In addition to seeking a 6.5% salary increase for the biennium 2026-2027, the platform includes a proposal on the development of the sector. This starts with the need to value seasonal workers and guarantee job continuity in this inherently seasonal sector, integrate foreign workers, and enhance the qualification of employment relationships and professionalism.
Key importance is also given to bilateral aspects, contractual welfare, permits, labor market, tendering system, and combating gender-based violence. Fai, Flai, and Uila deem it essential to strengthen the system of trade union relationships in the sector to ensure a legal, traceable, and more efficient labor market. The demands of the unions aim to fully implement Law no. 199/2016, by setting up territorial sections of the Quality Agricultural Work Network in all territories while also enhancing the tasks and activities of bilateral entities, mainly concerning welfare, health and safety protection of workers, and training.
The platform will be sent to the counterparties so that the negotiation phase can quickly open, and the contract renewal can be reached in a short time.
