The trade unions Uilcom-Uil, Slc-Cgil, and Fistel-Cisl, along with employers’ associations Confindustria Radio Televisioni and Anica, have agreed on the renewal of the Collective National Labor Agreement (CCNL) for the television and radio sectors for 2025-2027, on November 3, 2025. This outcome is seen as a positive step, providing tangible answers for workers in this sector.
In terms of wages, to help employees regain their purchasing power and recover from past inflation, the renewal entails wage increases as follows: €205 increase and a one-time payment of €300 for the TV sector; €165 increase and a €200 one-time payment for the Radio sector.
Legally, the agreement introduces new rules regarding cancer-related illnesses. Further issues such as parental leave and gender-based violence will be addressed by the National Sector Observatory from February 2026.
The National Observatory will also establish a bilateral section for new technologies, which aims to update and adapt job classifications and professional profiles in response to the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence and to address obsolescence in professions.
The renewal will undergo final approval by the workers in assemblies to be held in the coming weeks.
In sum, this agreement can be seen as a significant milestone in labor negotiations which caters to the economy inflation, the workers’ rights and the challenge of technological advancements, awaiting the final ratification from the assembly of workers.
