On December 4, 2025, the social parties signed a preliminary agreement for the renewal of the contract for the triennium 2025-2028. This renewal involves almost 60,000 workers, both from the public and private sectors, in the hydraulic-forestry sector.
The contract strengthens the activities for safeguarding health and safety at work. Starting from the demarcation of contractual applications in tenders, it introduces regulatory innovations to reconcile life and work times, particularly significant for temporary workers who make up a large part of the sector.
Another significant aspect of the renewal is the enhancement of the Filcoop health plan. The annual fee paid into this fund has been increased from 52.00 to 62.00 euros. The renewal also extends its coverage to include temporary workers who have worked for 360 days in the last three years.
Additionally, the contract introduces the integration of 100% salary in case of accident. The new agreement also increases the hours for leave and for study and training.
Finally, the renewed contract includes a wage increase of 135.00 euros, which is to be distributed over the three years. Workers will receive an extra 80.00 euros from January 1, 2026; this will be followed by an addition of 35.00 euros from January 1, 2027, and finally, an increase of 20.00 euros from January 1, 2028. This systematic and gradual increase is aimed to lessen the financial burden on companies while ensuring workers’ welfare.
