On November 19, 2024, a renewal of the National Collective Labour Contract (CCNL) was signed at the national headquarters of CNA. It applies to workers in the mechanics and metal industry, plant installation, goldsmiths, silversmiths, car repairs, dental technicians, and restoration sectors, and is valid for the period between 2023 and 2026. The contract involves over 500,000 workers in approximately 122,000 artisanal metalworking companies.
Economically, a total wage increase of 14.8% (€216.00 at the 4th level) has been agreed. After the payment of an advance on future contractual increases (AFAC) of €96.00 at the 4th level, distributed as €50.00 from December 1, 2023, and €46.00 from April 1, 2024, the following increases are scheduled: €50.00 from December 2024, €25.00 from July 2025, €25.00 from March 2026, and €20.00 from November 2026.
A new addition to the contract is a provision implemented from January 2025, recognizing a leap of €10.00 for apprentices.
In terms of regulatory aspects, the scope of the contract has been enlarged to include metalworkers engaged in underwater activities. Notice periods in cases of dismissal or resignation have been standardized. In terms of professional training, there is now a provision for an increase in continuous training for workers, from 8 to 16 hours.
The trade unions have announced that in the coming days, the journey towards validation of the assumption of this agreement will begin.
