On March 6, 2025, Autostrade per l’Italia and trade unions Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl, Uiltrasporti, Sla-Cisal, and Ugl-Vl met to sign a series of agreements on welfare, parental leave, permits, and safety. Concerning corporate welfare, specifically with regard to scholarships for employees’ children, it was established that for the period 2025-2027, a maximum of 20 scholarships per year would be awarded. Specifically, scholarships would be given as follows: 3,000 euros in total for students who have one year left to complete their academic studies, and 6,000 euros in total for those with two years left. It was also established that two of the 20 scholarships would be allocated to the children of employees affected by neurodivergences.
As for parental leave, usable within the child’s first 6 years of life, the parties established that during 2025, the allowance paid by INPS (the Italian social security and pensions body) would be supplemented as follows: 100% for the first and second month, 80% for the third month, 50% for the fourth month, and 40% for the fifth and sixth months.
In the matter of permits, they are organized as follows: paternity leave and voluntary leave would be a daily share of the monthly productivity bonus; menstrual leave can be used upon presentation of a medical certificate, once a year; approved permits for Specific Learning Disorder conditions are now extended to all other forms of neurodivergence.
Regarding workplace safety, a series of measures have been implemented, including issuing a protective kit to the relevant personnel. This kit consists of a support belt, a sensor with Bluetooth Low Energy technology, and a mobile app to be installed on the company phone that communicates with the sensor attached to the belt.
