Protocollo a sostegno delle donne vittime di violenza rinnovato nel CCNL Bancari

On November 24, 2025, Italian banking and labor organizations Abi, Fabi, First-Cisl, Fisac-Cgil, Uilca-Uil, and Unisin renewed a protocol aimed at supporting women victims of violence. They reaffirmed their commitment to helping victims of gender-based violence and their children, and to promoting a culture of respect, protection, and empowerment for women.

The agreement includes a suspension of principal payments on mortgage or consumer credit installments for up to 18 months. There is also an obligation on banks to advocate for regulatory changes to extend this moratorium to interest payments.

In alignment with requests from trade unions, the banks are committed to promoting employment policies that take into account the specific situation of women victims of violence who are enrolled in protection programs, and the children of women victims of feminicide. They will also consider the provision of microcredit schemes.

For women working in banks, the institutions are committed to promoting more favorable remote work policies to ensure job continuity, as well as protection measures to guarantee economic independence.

The signed protocol will be implemented by all banks and banking groups that have delegated the Trade Union and Labor Committee (Casl) of Abi.
